The ByWire Central device, perform the communications output through the control of a H-Bridge, modulating the lines polarity in a ByWire simplistic protocol format way.
As always easy to interface and simple to setup, a 9600baud serial port and a few jump-wires to the H-Bridge that feeds the power lines, is all that takes.
ByWire is a very simple asynchronous protocol based in power lines polarity. It consists on sending data at a fixed speed of about 1000 Bytes/s in one direction by modulating power lines polarity, through a H-Bridge control. Particularly useful when sending low speed messages to devices that only need to receive data, like an RGB controller, a simple display or even an infrared remote control translator.
We used it for small toys like model trains or doll houses automation. And for big toys, like automated garden lighting or cozplay suits and accessories.
