What is it?

The strapOn is a wearable protoboard designed to fit on a 20mm NATO-style watchband. The board is designed with standard PTH 0.1" spacing, with non-corroding ENIG-finished plated through holes (from OSHPark), allowing you to build hackable, extensible prototypes of easily wearable technology.

Note: In the pictures above, the components are not included, but the black 20mm NATO-style band is available as an option.

Why did I make it?

I designed the strapOn protoboard to make it easy to build electronic wearables, such as watches/timers, GPS/location tools, atmospheric sensors, accelerometers, biometric tools, and really anything else you can imagine.

What makes it special?

After designing these boards, I noticed there aren't any boards exactly like them anywhere else, so I decided to order a few extras now and then just in case anyone else could use them. Unlike my prototype picture, these boards are unbranded and have no text or graphics on them. Only my personal ones have the product name and my website.
