What is it?

The Teensy Breakout Board v1.4 was designed to allow for the use of screw terminals with the Teensy LC and Teensy 3.2 boards. It does not break out all of the pins, but it does solve some specific problems. Besides adding a method to mount a Teensy via mounting holes using 3mm bolts or #4 screws, you can add in 2.54mm pitch screw terminals to make it easy to connect and disconnect wires. If you don't like screw terminals you can use female header pins or solder wires to the board (instead of the Teensy) and still remove the Teensy later if needed.

Note the back edge of the board has 13 ground holes. If you prefer a mix of ground holes and 3.3v holes (maybe you are using sensors or potentiometers instead of buttons and switches) consider our Teensy Breakout Board v1.6 instead.

Why did you make it?

These boards were made for people who need to easily replace components that might wear out (such as buttons or switches) without having to solder new ones in place. Replacing connected components requires only a screwdriver. Originally designed to be used in museum exhibits, I've found these boards useful for other projects and thought it might be worth sharing.

What is not included?

This Breakout Board includes only the PCB. It does not include a Teensy, any screw terminals, or mounting hardware.

Very good Product, fast shipping

Hi,
the PCB is a very good product. the price and shipping is very good. I have a good Idea for the next revision of the PCB (smile) : not 13x Gnd-Plugs, better splitt the plug to 4x 5VDC, 5x 3,3VDC and 5x Gnd.... :-) On the right side of the PCB is a place to connect the plugs for the I/O-Pins 24-33 and A12, A13...., GND (13 Pins) :-)
