These are great additions for your boring old shoes. This solder kit adds step sensitive LEDs to any pair of shoes and instantly makes them awesome.

I was inspired by my girlfriend, who has always been jealous of those children's shoes that light up. So, I made a little kit that attaches to her shoes. This kit uses strips of WS2812b LEDs specially coated to protect from water, these stick to the sole of your shoes. They are controlled by a ATtiny85 on a small PCB mounted on a battery box that clips to the laces. When you take a step, this triggers a vibration sensor and the LEDs light.

There are 7 preprogrammed colours: blue, green, red, pink, white, orange and yellow. These are selectable with a button on the board. If you hold the button for 1 sec then the LEDs light up permanently, displaying a scrolling rainbow pattern.

• 10 LED strip
• PCB
• Battery box with clip
• ATtiny85 (pre programmed)

• 10k resistor
• 430ohm resistor
• 10uF capacitor
• Tactile button
• 8 pin socket
• Foam tape (for mounting)

It requires a few tools to assemble: soldering iron, solder and wire cutters. It should take a novice 30-40min to assemble.
