What is it?

This item is a Brand NEW 55 button programmable infrared remote control. The USB programming cable is included. The software allows the user to custom program any infrared protocol, change commands for each key, add macros, just about anything not available in most universal infrared remote controls, all from the 6 pin header under the battery cover.

What makes it special?

As of April 2021, Logitech has discontinued their Harmony Remote Control lineup. The few times I wanted to program a Harmony remote I received a message that their server was down! You don't need more bloated software to install on your PC just to program a simple infrared remote!

The JPx remotes are the next best thing and in my opinion, better than the Harmony remotes because of their simplicity and reliability. (and they are a fraction of the price of a Harmony remote). The JPx remotes can be reprogrammed easily within minutes using free software that is very easy to use and is totally independent of an internet connection.

Eliminating remote control clutter is what makes this programmable remote control special. The user can program up to 4 devices all in one remote. Universal remote controls often do not have the correct code for your device, sometimes the codes may work for some keys, and other functions would be unavailable. Using the software, you can edit the command for every single remote key. You can even control lights, appliances, (even your air conditioner) when the correct data is programmed into this remote. The software is very easy to use. If you don't have the commands for your existing remote, you can capture the commands using an IR decoder available here. Or you can use a Standalone Decoder (no PC required).
