What is it?

It is a small piece of hardware, printed circuit board (PCB) with USB and 4 pin JST 1.0 connector that works as a buffer between the connected devices with an I2C interface and a PC. The device is mounted as Serial COM Port.

Why did you make it?

In electronics, to provide a certain functionality, there is always a need to communicate to any sort of a device such as a sensor, screen, touch screen, IO device, ADC/DAC, memories of any types or else. Many of these devices are accessible through an I2C interface. Usually, the buffer between these devices and a computer is an Arduino or any other type of native firmware combined with a dedicated various hardware platforms. So there is a continuous need to develop these platforms. USBC2I2C allows to skip this step by allowing a simple and direct communication through serial terminal interface to any mounted to it I2C device.
