This rom replacement / romdisk plugs into the MAC PLUS's rom sockets and replaces the standard 64kb or 128kb roms with a new 1mb one that includes a 864kb rom-disk containing several games and more.

When starting your MAC PLUS you will get a prompt asking you to hold R to boot the rom disk, if you dont it will continue and try to boot from floppy or SCSI-Disk.

There are also tools available that lets you replace the start icon and sound.

These are some of the changes in the new rom compared to original one: " Startup beep is replaced by a glass “ping” Happy Mac icon is replaced by a Mac wearing sunglasses Pirate icon is displayed while waiting to load the ROM disk ROM disk image including System 6, Mac Write, Mac Draft, and eight games 128K ROM code turns a Mac 128K or 512K into a 128Ke or 512Ke " IMPORTANT! : You need to solder tre wires between the Rominator and the CPU for the signals A18, A19 and R/W ( see pictures ).
