The Pistorm is a CPU emulator project that uses a Raspberry Pi 3A+ ( not included ) to give you a verry fast accellerated Amiga a500 or A500+.

Will give you over 25 times faster speeds then a stock A500 and gives not only 128mb of ram but also the ability to load kickstart and virtual harddrives from the raspberry pi's SD card.

For sale here is ONLY the Pistorm2K adapter, you will also need a Raspberry pi 3A+ and a SD card.

There are plenty of guides online that shows you how to prepare a SD card and configure your pistorm, but its not a simple and quick job so not recommended for a novice user.

Tested and runs "buptest" without errors and also tested on real machine.

Pistorm emulates the CPU and can emulate most motorola CPU's used in the amigas, but its recommended to run it as a 68020 for maximum compatability. Even then there will probably be some compatability issues with software and hardware, but the good thing about a CPLD based design is that the core can be updated in the future to make fixes or add functionality.

This PCB has gold plated contacts that will last a lot longer than standard PCB plating.

IMPORTANT!

1. install raspberry pi like shown on picture 3 and follow the instruction arrow on wich side goes towards front and back of computer, if its not installed correctly you might damage your machine!

2. Remove original motorola 68000 CPU when you use the pistorm 2K, you can not have both CPU's active at the same time!

3. This is tested and working in Rev 4.3 and rev 6 motherboards that have B2000 embossed on the PCB near zorro slots / copyright text, early motherboards that say A2000 is not supported, if you are usure if you have a motherboard that will work or not please ask first before order.
