A main PCB, spacer, diffuser, and rubber feet to make an illuminated coaster.

TDK ICS 43434 MEMS microphone for audio reactive lighting effects
124 WS2812 style RGB LEDs in rings 4+8+16+32+64
Diffuser, spacer, and rubber feet

Full white on all LEDs uses under 2A from 5V USB, typical usage way lower.

Can be supplied fully assembled, or as a kit, with spacers, choice of diffuser, and rubber feet, ready to use.

Supplied with my code, which does loads of stuff, even a tap detect when you put a glass down, but can run WLED or ESPHome or whatever you want.

Why did you make it?

Fun, and testing my code for LED placement in KiCAD. But it is cool.

What makes it special?

Unique design having sound reactive on a coaster, and lots of LEDs behind a diffuser for smooth lighting effects - illuminate glass / bottle, etc.

It's really very cool!

The default firmware it comes with is pretty mesmerizing. The microphone is very sensitive and can pick up changes in background room noise like central heating pumps and snoring dogs really well. It gives a great atmospheric glow to any glasses and liquids placed on it and the diffusion is really good.

Can't wait to try out hacking on the firmware to see what sort of modes and patterns I can come up with.
