The device is an ac / dc voltage converter with an output voltage that is stabilized and adjustable. The voltage converter is intended as a power supply with a backup power supply in the event of a main voltage failure for 12V systems. The device can be used for door or wardrobe locking systems, burglar and fire alarm systems, video surveillance systems and the like.

A 12V lead battery is connected to the power supply, which takes care of the power supply in case of main voltage failure. The battery is charged by U-I methods. The relay in the device ensures that the battery is switched off safely if it is excessively discharged to prevent damage to it. The device also emits a signal of the presence / absence of main voltage that can be used. This is the logical state of the open collector on the optocoupler. The device also emits an optical signal green / red LED, which illustrates the current balance in the battery. If the LED is red, the battery is discharged, if the LED is green, the battery is charged, if the LED is not lit, the current balance is balanced.
