What is it?

This Arduino shield is a Screw Terminal breakout board for GRBL that allows you to directly wire your single axis stepper drivers. This is a kit and soldering will be required. Watch out for cold solder joints! This kit includes an Arduino R3 clone.

Why did you make it?

I wanted to use GRBL with single axis stepper drivers.

What makes it special?

It is specifically designed to work with GRBL and to clearly show the outputs.

Does it come pre-programmed?

NO!

Why not?

Because I don't know what cnc system you are using and there are a lot of differences. The good news is that grbl is easy to configure.

Why do you bother offering the board, if you won't program it?

Partially a matter of convenience, but this version of the Arduino Uno has the more stable Atmega16u4 for the USB interface and it has the durable USB-B interface. This combination can be tricky to find.
