Read More…Note This is now the revision 2 model of the 68681, which swaps the (hard to find) classic MC68681 for a modern XR68C681.
Note that the base model includes the bare PCB only, select the optional components you'd like included when purchasing the product.
Note that this board requires rosco_m68k firmware v1.3 (compatible with both revision 1 and 1.2 boards) - if you do not have Firmware 1.3 you can get it from the GitHub Releases Page, or you can order pre-programmed ROMs alongside the DUART board by selecting the appropriate product option.
This expansion adds a high-speed XR68C681 dual UART to your rosco_m68k, which can be used instead of the built-in UART to enable high-speed (115.2 KBPS) communication with your rosco_m68k. The XR68C681 is a modern version of Motorola's classic MC68681.
Like the rosco_m68k itself, this is designed to be easy to solder, and no special skills or equipment are needed! Simply grab a regular (ideally temperature-controlled) soldering iron, some solder (we like lead-free 1mm diameter) and have at it!
Where supplied, all new components are the very highest-quality we can get our hands on. All parts in this kit are brand new.
