What is it?

A digital Theremin that uses two optical proximity sensors. Similar to a classic Theremin, the optical sensors control the volume and frequency. Control dials select the pitch, waveshape arrangement, LFO (vibrato), and distortion effect.

Produces 8 bit sound, line level mono audio output (3.5mm jack, requires powered speakers). Power input is USB micro jack, 5V 500mA.

The technology is STM32 DMA DDS signal generation and a simple low pass filter. Status LEDs for signal output, DDS clock (heartbeat), DMA activity (load), and error (overload).
