What is it?

The ADX-MINI is a simple digital HF transceiver that uses a CD2003 receiver chip and a Class-E QRP transmitter (PA). It is meant to be used with the WSJT/X software which runs on a laptop or a Raspberry Pi.

Why did you make it?

I started out by building an ADX-UNO which is a 2-board radio kit based on an Arduino UNO. After studying the ADX-UNO, I decided to try to make a 1-board radio kit with the same features and the same board footprint. The result is the ADX-MINI.

What makes it special?

The ADX-MINI is a minimalist radio that when used in combination with the WSJT-X software is is a very capable digital radio. I have made contacts of over 5000 miles on 20M FT8 with this radio.
