Read More…699 DUAL INTEGRATOR consists of two identical voltage-controlled integrators. Each has SLEW, RATE, RISE time, and FALL time inputs, end-of-cycle (EOC) and end-of-rise (EOR) outputs, and an OUT jack.
Like all 600 series modules, 699 DUAL INTEGRATOR is 20hp (101.3mm) wide. Knobs and panel jacks align to a uniform 20.32mm spacing grid. Power and mounting specifications conform to “Eurorack” standards. PCB construction is single-board and through-hole. Panel is black FR-4 and so might have some minor blemishes from the manufacturing process.
Usage:
If nothing is patched into the SLEW jack, 699 operates as a voltage controlled oscillator with the waveform and frequency of the signal at OUT controlled by the RATE, RISE, and FALL knobs and jacks. Turning the RATE knob clockwise or increasing the voltage at the RATE jack increases the frequency; the range is roughly one cycle per hour to 2kHz. Turning the RISE or FALL knobs clockwise or increasing the voltage at the RISE or FALL jacks increases the rise and fall time (and so also lowers the overall frequency) of the oscillation. Unlike the RATE knob, RISE and FALL knobs act as attenuators if something is patched into their respective jacks. Trimming potentiometers on the panel set the amplitude of the oscillations.
If a signal is patched into the SLEW jack, 699 operates as a lag processor, with a processed version of the input appearing at OUT. RATE, RISE, and FALL control lag times in the same manner as listed above.
EOC and EOR are gate outputs. The EOC output is low (0v) when the voltage at OUT is falling and goes high (roughly 6v) when the fall has stopped. EOR is low when the voltage at OUT is rising and goes high when the rise has stopped. LEDs indicate when a gate is high. In self-cycling mode, one will be the logical inversion of the other.
699 DUAL INTEGRATOR is available as a PCB/panel set for DIY construction. Please consult the "bill of materials" for construction notes before ordering.
