Read More…Archiduino KIT is a modular programmable controller, 100% software compatible with Arduino. The strength of Archiduino is represented by the plurality of interface, I/O and signal conditioning modules at his disposal which can be simultaneously mounted. Furthermore, Archiduino has been designed looking at the industrial environment, so it’s fully protected from ESD, RF and EMI and it’s certified according to strict IEC / CEI parameters. This Archiduino KIT was created with the aim to give the opportunity to test the potential of Archiduino system at a very affordable price.
The Base Board, in addition to housing the Archiduino CPU Board, is equipped with 12 slots in which you can insert as many SnipCards. The SnipCards are mounted vertically, in order to obtain a compact device. The main objective, on which is based Archiduino, was to obtain a programmable controller flexible and easily adaptable to different needs. Often we use dedicated cards on which are lacking of resources while others remain unused. This can not happen with Archiduino boards since the SnipCards can be mounted in choosing them according to your needs.
Besides the possibility to occupy the slot with a SnipCard, it’s alternatively possible to mount up to 8 power relays (max 36V / 4A), or up to 20 optocouplers. The eight power relay sockets could be populated with two optocouplers at same time (useful when you need a relay actuator with optocoupled feedback). Moreover, this programmable controller is designed to be inserted in a modular DIN rail (6 modules). This solution allows you to move from the development phase to the final use of the software in the field with a simplicity and speed not found in other programmable platforms.
The CPU mounts onboard: n. 1 RTC clock (without battery, it should be requested apart); n. 1 precision voltage reference (2,5V) n. 1 EEPROM 2K I2C and it’s prepared to mount, as options: n. 1 RTC lithium backup battery; n. 1 micro SD card slot; larger EEPROM sizes.
