Archiduino is a modular programmable controller 100% software compatible with Arduino (the sketch must be compiled for the Leonardo board). The added value of Archiduino is constituted by the plurality of interface modules, I/O and signal conditioning, at his disposal, which can be simultaneously mounted.

This kit was created with the aim to give the opportunity to test the potential of the system Archiduino at a very affordable price.

Resources

The basic kit, in addition to housing the CPU Archiduino, already implements some resources. We provide the basic card, the CPU card, the 2 × 16 LCD display with 4 keys, a RS232 module, a module Analog 2-channel. In addition, on the base board there are two optically isolated digital inputs (the components are located on the bottom of the card base) and a power relay (10A). Finally, there are 3 flying female terminals 5mm pitch and the power cable. All the components are assembled in a modular DIN rail. The kit does not include the 12Vdc power supply and the USB micro cable (type B) that must be specifically requested.

The card base, in addition to housing the CPU Archiduino, is equipped with 12 slots in which can be inserted as many signal conditioning boards. The boards are mounted vertically, in order to obtain a compact device but at the same time able to have a good number of I/O resources. The main objective, on which is based the project Archiduino, was to obtain a device flexible and easily adaptable to different needs. Often we use dedicated cards on which are lacking of resources while others remain unused. This can not happen with Archiduino BOARDS since the signal conditioning can be mounted in choosing them according to your needs. Besides the possibility to occupy the slot with a board it is alternatively possible to mount a power relay (max 10 A).

Moreover, the system is designed to be inserted in a modular DIN rail (6 modules), a solution that allows you to move from the development phase to the final use of the software in the field with a simplicity and speed not found in other programmable platforms.
