Read More…This SCSI adapter is designed to adapt the proprietary 34-pin interface used by Apple on the Macintosh Portable to a standard 50-pin SCSI connection with 4-pin Molex power. The internal hard drive can be replaced by a standard 3.5" 50-pin SCSI mechanical hard drive, or by any SCSI emulator boards like the SCSI2SD, ZuluSCSI and BlueSCSI. SCSI bus termination power is also provided by the Macintosh Portable and is sufficient to power the emulator boards without using the 4-pin power connector.
An extra 34-pin ribbon cable is required to connect the adaptor to the Macintosh Portable motherboard. The ribbon cable is not included with this purchase. A standard PC Floppy drive can be used for that purpose.
