What is it?

This is a do-it-yourself, hifi preamplifier for vinyl turntables. It's the original version of the PCB, there is a new one available here.

It supports MM (Moving Magnet) and HOMC (High Output Moving Coil) cartridges.

In addition to the Bill of Materials, you will need:

• 2x 150 ohm resistors
• 2x 300 ohm resistors
• 2x 2-way DIP switch

PCB Size: 4x3" (102x76mm)

What is it not?

This is not a complete product, only the printed circuit board. Components must be bought separately, according to the bill of materials. You must also provide power supply, cabling, enclosure, connectors and everything else needed to turn this into a working preamplifier.

Why did you make it?

I needed variable gain on the famous CNC Phono Stage that emerged as a joint effort on AudioKarma.org, ignited by user Fasterdamnit: http://www.audiokarma.org/forums/showthread.php?t=371889

What makes it special?

This is the original AudioKarma CNC Phono Stage, with added variable gain. The inputs and outputs have been moved to make for easier cabling.
