Read More…Made by TinkerPlunk on Github, this device converts a SCART input to VGA. This is a passhtrough device, no upscaling is involved. What goes in,comes out the other end. Purpose is to create a HSync or CSync signal that your Monitor can read, and deliver to VGA.
I built 2 versions of this device with different Sync Strippers. I needed to mate a an Atari Gold star with SCART, and this concept worked well using an upgraded Sync Stripper.
Similar, much pricier devices deliver the same unique benefits. You can choose between the LM1881 which delivers CSync on HSync, or the ISL59885 which will deliver a proper H.Sync signal which some finicky monitors demand.
