This is a featherwing PCB for use with an Adafruit Feather (I used a Feather RP2040) to make interactive and wearable battery powered neopixel accessories. An optional minimal case is also available. Once assembled, it includes:

• a 2-pin JST jack for a lipo battery
• a 3-pin JST jack for a neopixel strip
• 2 DPDT switches that allow for independently dis/connecting the battery and neopixel strip from the circuit
• 2 momentary push buttons that are good for selecting different modes among other things
• a 3D accelerometer for making the neopixels change with motion

I used this to make a light for my helmet. I ride bicycles and unicycles for transportation and fun, and I wanted to be more visible when I'm around other traffic. Most lights made for bicycles are white or red (obviously to correspond to the lights on cars) but I wanted more colors so that I stand out better among the sea of lights that fill an urban environment.

It's trivial to connect a lipo battery and a neopixel strip to an Adafruit Feather, but for daily use you also want a convenient way to turn it off and just charge the battery. Even better, you also want buttons to change modes and an accelerometer to make it interactive.
