The Demo_D with antenna, but without speaker and battery. The cost is for just one piece.

Development:

• Push J7，J8 to “USER” position，The user can set all of the FRS parameter via external MCU or PC

LED

• Charge LED: Red, Li battery charge indication
• Charge Full LED: Green, when charge finished, it turns ON
• Power LED: Blue, Power on indication
• Tx LED: Red, when transmit, it turns ON
• Rx LED: Green, when valid signal received, it turns ON

Interface:

• DC power jack: 3.3V-5V. An external DC power or Li battery is acceptable; the up side is positive and the lower side is negative.
• Speaker jack: the speaker can be above 4R with 1-3 watt
• Multi-function earphone: User can make the voice intercom via operate the earphone
• A PTT key, a microphone, a speaker is integrated on the earphone

Please note that the 3rd part earphone do not be used for this demo board. If user need it, please contact us to get it.

• MCU debug and program download;
• UART port, it must be TTL 3V level, it must not be RS232 level. GND, RXD: the RXD of UART tool, TXD: the RXD of UART tool.

User interface:

• GND
• PTT: Pull LO，transmit；NC, receive
• LINE_IN: The external audio source input, then it is transferred by the module; the demo board has made an attenuation of about 75%
• The input signal should be less than 20MV; the audio frequency can only support 300 – 3000HZ
• LINE_OUT: The audio output is from the module “AF_OUT”, It is not amplified by the audio amplifer;
• SQ: Receive signal indication; it is Low when there is a valid signal income; otherwise it is high;

Communication port selection:

• When in DEMO mode(push the switch to right position), it can demo all the function
• When in USER mode(push the switch to left position), user can operate the Frs module directly, user can make a development via the J6 interface

Audio source selection:

• In DEMO mode, the microphone on board is selected
• In USER mode, the external audio source is selected, the external audio input via the “Line in “ of J6

USB:

• It can be used to charge the Li battery
• It can be used for command setting or data transfer/SMS

Comment for J5, USB:

• J7, J8 at DEMO mode: the user can make the parameter setting or data transfer by the USB or J5; when at demo mode, the command of user is sent to HOST Mcu firstly, then checked by the MCU, the command is sent to the FRS module by the MCU; the command is saved into EEPROM and can be kept when power off.
• J7, J8 at USR mode: USB or J5 is connected to the FRS module directly, it is not connected to the MCU at all, so the user can operate the FRS module directly, it doesn’t via the MCU; so the parameter can’t be saved.

Key:

• [PTT] Push to talk
• [MON] Monitor
• [SCAN] Auto scan. When in standby state, press [Scan] key, the system into the auto scan state. When in setting state, the cursor go back to the previous setting. When in SMS edit state, it act as the “Backspace”.
• [SMS] Short message demo. When in standby state, press [SMS] key, the system into the SMS function demo mode. When in SMS demo mode, press [SMS] key, exit SMS demo mode. When in setting state, the cursor go back to the first parameter setting. When in SMS edit state, it act as the “Backspace”.
• [ENCODE] Rotate the encode switch to increase or decrease the setting number
• [ENTER] Press the encode switch
