This is a Panel Mount style case for a BuyDisplay RA8875 7" LCD with Capacitive Touch Screen. This base product includes the LCD screen that is pre-mounted into the case using (4) screws. It also includes an acrylic back cover and 4 aluminum mounting brackets with screws. It does not come with a PCB and Teensy Microcontroller unless selected as an option.

This case is made to allow you to create a commercial quality product that incorporates a LCD touchscreen. LCD screens are widely available but there are not many cases that you can mount your screen in to allow you to create a professional looking finished product.

This case is not 3D printed and it is not pieces of cut acrylic stacked together.

This case is created by injecting urethane plastic into a mold. It has a nice textured finish on the outside bezel and can be mounted through a cutout hole using aluminum brackets from the back.

Options: A PCB with the Teensy 4.1 microcontroller can be selected that will include all the components needed to have a completely working product. This PCB and parts can be shipped as a kit that you solder together yourself or can be fully assembled and programmed with a demo program. This PCB can be powered by using a micro USB cable connected to the Teensy or it can be powered through the (2) terminals using a 5V power Supply. The PCB kit or assembled PCB only come with 2 terminal blocks unless the extra Terminals are selected as an option. That will include 9 extra high quality Phoenix terminal blocks that give access to additional Teensy pins and 3.3V from the Teensy. The 8 other pins are D29 thru D36 on the Teensy.

The Optional PCB has a prototyping area that breaks out (15) Teensy pins. RX1,TX1,D2 thru D9, D24 thru D28, & columns of (15) 0V and 5V holes. The breakout area is all spaced at 0.1" and is laid out similar to a breadboard.

Mounting: This case can be panel mounted through a hole that is 7.75"(197mm) Wide and 4.75"(120mm) High. The hole does not have to be extremely precise and can be up to 0.08"(2mm) larger than that. The material that it is mounted in would ideally be in the 0.06"(1.5mm) to 0.5"(13mm) thickness range.
