Read More…The Sanguino is an Arduino-compatible development board designed by Zach Hoeken at the RepRap Research Foundation. It is an ideal embedded control platform for projects that need a lot of input and output capability. Developed to control open source 3D printers, it has gained widespread use in robotics and hardware hacking.
Think of Sanguino as the Uno's big brother. The Atmega164P microcontroller has 2 hardware UART ports instead of 1, many more I/O pins for interfacing sensors and outputs, and is pin compatible with the Atmega644P used in the original Sanguino. Parallel headers break out the pins in a breadboard-friendly manner for swift prototyping.
For a massive memory upgrade to 128K flash, 4K EEPROM, and 16K RAM, consider the Sanguino with Atmega1284P from fellow Tindarian YT2095.
The sale item is one fully populated Sanguino v1.0 PCB with green solder mask and HASL finish, with a Atmega164P-20PU microcontroller in a 40 pin PDIP package.
