What is it?

You've assiduously explored every pixel of the free digital version, now bask in the glory of owning a stunning physical copy of one of the greatest adventure RPGs for the NES featuring a mouse protagonist (the classic "MRPG" subgenre as it is known).

And since the cartridge is reprogrammable, when the dust settles and peace has returned to the arcade (or you're just thoroughly bored), pop it apart and load it up with whatever homebrew UNROM-512 or NESMaker game you want instead.

What's in the Kit

• A newly-developed flash cartridge PCB assembled into an equally dreamy turquoise cartridge housing
• Clear PETG box
• Label kit for cartridge and box

Get it Together

Programming the board

• You'll need a USB A to C cable
• Download the latest MITM .NES file from itch.io or whatever 512K UNROM/NESMaker game you want.
• Plug the cartridge in to your PC's USB, it will show up as a T1LTCART USB drive
• Copy the .NES file over to it
• When the LEDs on the PCB stop blinking and turn green, programming is done! Typically takes 7-8s or so.

Stick on dem labels

• Come on, don't be lazy... I know you can't wait to solve the crime, but put them stickers on now before you lose 'em
• For the cartridge labels, I like to peel off a little of the backing, get it stuck down and aligned on just one end, and then peel the backing and stick it down the rest of the way
• For the box labels:
  1. MOST IMPORTANT - The clear box comes with milky film on it to protect from scratches... peel this off first or you will be sad! 😭
  2. Next fully assemble the box and stick the cart in there. This will make it a lot easier to line everything up.
  3. For each label, peel off the white backer so you just have the art sticking to the clear film
  4. Press it sticky side down wherever you want it on the box (or your laptop, I know you were thinking it 👀)
  5. Use a fingernail to press all the pixels down to make sure they stick well.
  6. Peel away the clear film and Voila, decoration complete.

Fire it Up!

• Pop it into your original NES or clone console and enjoy!

What regions are supported?

The game comes preconfigured as US/Canada, but the CIC clone inside supports all regions. If your console is not for North America, just keep pressing the Reset button on the NES until it "locks on" to your region.

As for video/speed, MITM supports NTSC only at the moment -- PAL and Dendy run slower. Dendy at least seems to work ok in the emulator, PAL has some minor graphic issues in the text it seems? Definitely give the game a try in your favorite emulator first if you're unsure of what you're getting.
