What is it?

The BlueHat Signaling Module can drive WS2812 based signal heads or other LED's on the layout. The color of each LED can be controlled by block detector input, switch statuses, signal aspects, layout power status, button activities, or analog values from e.g. a potentiometer. The maximum number of LED's that can be driven by BlueHat is only limited by the memory size of the IoTT Stick. More than 1000 LED's is not a problem.

Why did you make it?

The BlueHat is the current status of a longer development documented on the YouTube channel https://www.youtube.com/c/IoTTCloud. The goal is to provide a simple and flexible device that can be configured in many ways to support model railroad layout control.

Excellent Product for the world of Model Trains.

You had high expectations of trying the ioTT Stick with my BlueHat, the first thing I must say and thank is Hans's kind attention for all my questions, doubts and questions about how this Stick could help me in my little model.

Upon receiving my product, it arrived very well packaged, the 3d printed box for Bluehat surprised me because I did not know that it was included, well printed.

The stick kit includes its protective box, a micro USB cable and an additional connection cable to some loconet equipment, it also includes a support to fix the stick on any surface.

The initial configuration was quite quick and easy, I managed to connect my stick to my Wi-Fi network in a couple of minutes. The software version update process is just as quick and easy, I was able to update my stick to the most recent version available.

In 10 min I was able to turn on the 4 test LEDs in Steady On mode, independently, in order, etc.

Something important before making any changes to the oiTT or moving it around, etc ... make sure you park it first and then make the connections, etc. Since it can suffer some corruption in the configuration files, but it is quickly solved by reinstalling the software.

An excellent product and I hope to be able to add the other hats that they offer.

A great buy!

I bought this as part of a package. Everything was shipped, well packaged and delivered in good time. The items all performed as promised with additional information available from the seller and his Github page. Couldn’t be happier! Would highly recommend!!

Great neopixel driver for the model rr modelers

I am currently experimenting with this neopixel led driver to create my own signaling system on my layout and control panel. Having all the signals target addressable and daisy chain them with only 3 wires is a revolutionary idea for the model railroad community. It is using easy available inexpensive components. I am hoping to be able to use this system to drive all the leds of my layout eventually. So far I have try it with a neopixel led band and individual 5mm addressable led. I will order shortly miniature board to try to drive regular led as well. So far It is working as advertised on his YouTube channel. I highly encourage you to take a close look at this product for your model railroad. And the yellow hat device.
