What is it?

The IoTT Stick is the core module to set up Arduino ESP32 based control tasks for model railroad layouts. It can receive commands from DCC, LocoNet or OpenLCB (depending on the connected interface breakout board) and activate output devices such as turnouts and signals, or read buttons and send that information back to the layout control system (depending on the connected function hat). It also can send and receive commands to and from an MQTT broker and therefore act as gateway to bring the commands from the layout control system to LAN and internet. The IoTT Stick is easy to configure from a smartphone or PC using the built-in web interface.

The IoTT Stick is the current status of a longer development documented on the YouTube channel https://www.youtube.com/c/IoTTCloud. The goal is to provide a simple and flexible device that can be configured in many ways to support model railroad layout control.

Excellent Product for the world of Model Trains.

You had high expectations of trying the ioTT Stick with my BlueHat, the first thing I must say and thank is Hans's kind attention for all my questions, doubts and questions about how this Stick could help me in my little model.

Upon receiving my product, it arrived very well packaged, the 3d printed box for Bluehat surprised me because I did not know that it was included, well printed.

The stick kit includes its protective box, a micro USB cable and an additional connection cable to some loconet equipment, it also includes a support to fix the stick on any surface.

The initial configuration was quite quick and easy, I managed to connect my stick to my Wi-Fi network in a couple of minutes. The software version update process is just as quick and easy, I was able to update my stick to the most recent version available.

In 10 min I was able to turn on the 4 test LEDs in Steady On mode, independently, in order, etc.

Something important before making any changes to the oiTT or moving it around, etc ... make sure you park it first and then make the connections, etc. Since it can suffer some corruption in the configuration files, but it is quickly solved by reinstalling the software.

An excellent product and I hope to be able to add the other hats that they offer.

Fabulous products for the RR modeling community.

The IoTT stick is inexpensive and powerful with the esp32 and wifi included. But the software developed by iott is revolutionary. It is combining modern internet of thing technology like Mqtt protocol dcc, loconet and neopixel « ws2812 » addressable led for layout signaling. Imagine driving as many signals as you like with a chain of only 3 wires. The iott stick is easily programmable using a simple comprehensive web page accessible with any browser. This is a great product and with a lot of hardware and software improvements planned for the future. I highly recommend taking a look à this product and all related video on YouTube.
