This is a kit of the entire Matrix Mechanical Keyboard for direct use on the TEC-1G or for use with the Matrix Interface for previous TEC-1 models and other Z80 machines that have the Z80Bus.

It comes with the PCB which can accept both Cherry MX and Gateron Low Profile switches, with further options of:

• A keyboard plate suitable for both switch types, making it easy to build a professional feeling keyboard that is aligned perfectly, but not ESSENTIAL for Cherry MX keys as it is for the Gaterons.

• A full set of Gateron Low Profile switches along with the low profile, plate-mounted stabilisers and all required components and IDC cable.

• A set of shine-through Low Profile key caps. (*See Note 1 below.)

• A full set of coloured LEDs, SMD resistors (*See note 2 below) and 2x switches to make your keyboard Fullisik, bro!

Note 1: If you have previously ordered a TEC-1G kit with a Fullisik keyboard, you would still have a large amount of the key caps you would have been supplied with. Potentially, to save yourself some money, you could use the remainder of that key cap set and with judicious use of some labels, you could still have the hex keypad populated with all the caps you require. It's an option to think about, at any rate as key caps are probably the most expensive part of any keyboard.

Note 2: If you opt to get the Fullisik LEDs, there are 62 really tiny SMD resistors you will need to solder in place on the underside. I HIGHLY recommend purchasing or borrowing a Hot Air Station. There will be a video showing how the Mechanical keyboard is put together, including the use of Solder Paste and the Hot Air gun.
