TEC-1G Real Time Clock Module v1.1

You ever had someone look at your beloved TEC-1 and ask, "So what can it do?" Well now you can turn it into a functional and accurate clock with this Real Time Clock module!

How Does it Work

The main chip is the DS1302 which, coupled with the crystal, keeps very accurate time that can be read in a serial manner. That is what the rest of the chips in this circuit are for; to manage the serial communications. The DS1302 also has 31 bytes of RAM that the monitor (v1.4 onwards) uses for storing settings, rather than forgetting them every time you switch the TEC-1G off. Both the clock and the RAM are battery backed with the CR2032 coin cell. (Battery NOT included in the Kit.)
