Show FlipperTown who's really in charge with this high-performance IR Blaster.

There are boards that make claims of "has 20+ LEDs" on them, but they operating them at a much lower outptut as they are still constrained at the amount of current the flipper can provide! Independent testing has proven this module to be able to transmit through clothing and even hit distances of 150m+ in open air.

After receiving a ton of feedback from the original IR Blaster, I decided the MastaBlasta had to be made. Complete with multiple "quality of life" improvements, the MastaBlasta is a safe bet and won't disappoint.

WHAT IT IS / DOES:

Expands the power of the flipper-zero's IR capabilities.
12 IR High-Intensity LEDs with specific focus to create a "beam" of high-intensity IR Light. This Blaster Had it's IR LED Placement designed specifically to allow for the addition of a Lens to further improve performance.
Built-in Reverse polarity protection to prevent damage to the flipper if inserted backwards.
Red Power LED is controllable via switch as per popular request!
lets you control TVs, Projectors, A/V Equipment, wall AC units, fans, heaters, and much more using the flipper as an "universal remote"
Is coated with a highly reflective white coating to act as a reflector (similar to a flashlight:)
Is comprised of high temp PCB Substrate to help dissipate heat when using the blaster in strenuous circumstances.
All Solder pads are ENIG (Gold) plated
It's FLAT and fits flush alongside the top of the board!!
It has been designed to fit in a 3D Printed case

Why not use the built-in IR on the flipper?

Well, you still need the built in IR on the flipper to program the flipper with new IR Signals as this is ONLY a transmitter. This said, when running unofficial firmware, you can turn on the "Debug IR" feature which will allow you to use this module. This will allow you to transmit at a might higher power than the built-in IR, which means you can turn on / off devices without having to point the flipper at the device directly. Advice: Don't test device in the next room while your significant other is watching TV 😂🤣

Technical details:

The IR Blaster is comprised of 12 high powered IR LEDs. The LEDs at their theoretical maximum brightness ensuring the signal is broadcast as "loud" as possible into the room. As long as the IR Receiver can see even a reflection of the IR being emitted, it should respond to the code being sent by the blaster. Remember - More IR LEDS does not mean more power!

How to Use:

TL;DR - Point at TV, Say "Lift Embargo" and activate the Universal IR Remote Function

There has been a little confusion on how to use an external IR Blaster so I wanted to put together a quick guide to help you get started:

You must be using unofficial firmware as currently the official firmware does NOT support the forwarding of IR Signals to the external GPIO Pins. I suggest Unleashed, Xtreme, or RogueMaster firmware.

You must enable "Debug" mode: go to settings ---> system ---> debug ---> ON

This is a 5v Module! You must turn on 5v to use it go to GPIO ---> 5v --> ON

After you follow the above two steps, when you enter the "Infrared" menu option, you should see an option for "debug" and then an option to send to Pin A7(2). Make sure this is selected or it will not work.

FAQ -

Q: The red light doesn't turn on, what's going on?

A: Make sure the board is fully seated in the Flipper, if you have a silicone case, you may need to adjust it slightly as the module is designed to fit snugly into the case. Also - Make sure you turn 5v on as this is a 5v module! This can be done under the GPIO settings. NOTE: Removal and re-insertion of the module will turn off 5v. When plugged into USB (such as a power pack) 5v is always on, and this step can be skipped)

Q: I have tried to turn on/off a TV / at a bar, store, menu, school, etc and it's not working.

A: Do not mess with devices you do not own, or do not have permission to mess with. Period. This said, if you do have permission, make sure that the device itself is working properly with IR to begin with. many systems, use RF or bluetooth instead of IR to actually communicate (I'm looking at you Fire-stick/TV) Also, try capturing an IR signal with a known working remote using the on-board IR Receiver, and then transmitting the saved signal with the blaster.

Q: The IR LEDs don't light up when I look at them with my naked eye

A: Infrared is not visible (or barely) to the naked eye. You need to "view" the IR using a camera (any cell phone camera will do). additionally, the LEDS used on the blaster, WILL illuminate SLIGHTLY red to the naked eye, if you are in a completely dark room, and I mean COMPLETELY dark.

Q: My Blaster gets a little warm after extended use, is this normal?

A: Yes, the blaster puts out a decent amount of power, and in turn creates a decent amount of heat, which is absorbed into the board. While the board might get a little warm, it should not get HOT. if your board gets HOT, discontinue use and reach out to me and I can arrange a replacement if it is deemed to be a manufacturing defect. Please note that every board is stress-tested before it is shipped and I cannot replace boards due to user misuse/abuse such as running higher voltages, illuminating the IR steady-on as if it were a flashlight, or modifying the board in anyway.

Q: RESTOCK WEN?!

A: SOON ;) - No seriously, I can only build so many of these at a time as it is a very time consuming process. Each unit is hand-made, and fully tested before being shipped, so please be patient :) I plan on restocking at least once per week, if not more often. Q: Handmade? you mean you don't get these manufactured?

A: Yes, each and every Board is hand-made, all SMT is soldered by me, and all through-hole soldering is also soldered by me. As such, it takes time to build each and every board. Sure, it prevents me from stocking more, but it also ensures I can have a tight control on quality, and well, I enjoy it :)

Q: My order says it has been shipped, but the tracking says the USPS / UPS / DHL / etc. is awaiting the item and it's been a day or two, what's going on?

A: I work a full time job, I build these boards (and ship them) in the evenings, when the post office is closed. I try my best to get everything dropped off the following day, but sometimes circumstances (Looking at you NJ Traffic) gets in the way of me making it to the post office in a timely fashion. Just please know I make every effort to get packages dropped off to the post office at the earliest.

I work Full-Time Monday-Friday 8-6 PM. As such, I perform all shipping in the evening and when tracking information is sent out, it will show as the item is "awaiting acceptance" by USPS / UPS / etc. What this means, is that your items have been packaged, a label purchased, and has been placed in a shipping crate ready to be dropped off/picked up at the post office / logistics carrier. If your item has not moved from the "awaiting acceptance" status (after you have received the tracking info) for more than 3 business days, please contact me so I may investigate as there is a risk the courier misplaced the package as I hand-off the packages in a shipping crate and it is up to them to scan each package one by one. Specifically regarding USPS shipments - I utilize my local post office for all packages, this post office is wildly short staffed and overworked so I ask you have patience if you chose this shipping method which is one of the cheaper/slower options (ground/standard USPS).

For international customers using DHL: While service IS expedited over USPS (3 days vs 3 weeks) the service points to drop off packages are not near my home, which requires a special trip to deliver them. As such, there may be a small 1-3 day delay in dropping these off. If you need the item sooner, please reach out to me via direct message and I will do my best to accommodate.

Very high quality construction and excellent packaging.
Shipping was a wee slower than expected but may have been influenced by external, unforeseen issues like the Cloudflare BSOD thang that took down the world.
Documentation consists of the -how-to- Q and A's on the sale page and if you are tinkering with a Flipper you already know that not everything is exact... its close and gets you into the neighborhood, but are any instructions an exact step by step --how-to---.
In this case, to turn on the DEBUG on Rogue-Master Firmware its : SETTINGS > SYSTEM > DEBUG > ON ....
Turning on the GPIO 5V .... its: GPIO > 5V on GPIO > ON /// or /// INFRARED > GPIO SETTINGS > 5V on GPIO > ON ....
But you also need to select which output device which is at: INFRARED > GPIO SETTINGS > SIGNAL OUTPUT > 2(A7) otherwise you will still be transmitting IR from the Flipper's emitter and not the Masta-Blasta.
BY THE WAY. The switch on the circuit board turns off the red power indicator so you can be more ... stealth.

Truly the MastaBlasta

This thing is AMAZING for extending the ir range on the flipper zero. It attaches really nice and flat, so it can still fit on your pocket, and has a switch for the nice led on it to show its on. It has great ir range and I would recommend it to anyone looking to do so.

It works wonders, and the quality is on another level.

It took only 7 days to arrive in Chile. The device is easy to use and works incredibly well. What truly impresses me is the quality of the product—it's evident they don't cut corners on components and manufacturing.

The packaging is personalized and even includes stickers. What strikes me is the texture and the PCB design that appears hand-painted.

If you own a Flipper Zero, this product should undoubtedly be in your arsenal.

Great board

Exellent little board. Does what it's supposed to, looks great, and it's very sturdy. Shipped quickly and arrived quickly. My only complaint is every time I throw it on my Flipper, I compulsively scream "WHO RUN BARTER TOWN" and it's starting to annoy my cat.

Simply awesome, really good if paired with a lens / case

As soon as you slap on this bad boy onto your Flipper Zero, you know that you have serious IR power. It is really easy to setup too. Just a tip using it; hold it high above your head and keep it steady at your target. Also has a nifty switch to see if 5V is on or not. Pins are really sturdy and the PCB is also very solid. Highly recommended!

You can check its workings with a phone camera.
If you think it's not bright; these are 940nm LEDs and show up way dimmer on video/photo.
That is because 850nm = regular nightvision and 940nm = IR remote spectrum ;)
Another upside of this, is that your device remains fully stealhy because you can shut down the red LED on it.

I cannot think of any downsides besides a steep price (but hey, its handmade just for you!) and that it sticks out of your now less portable Flipper Zero. But all that is very acceptable and common sense.
If you want to "educate" people from a 100 meters away, look no further :)

I have bought many products from rabbit and still buy them till this day. The soldering looks like it was done professionally by a machine even though it was hand soldered. The quality of the board itself is insanely good. Customer support is very responsive and shipping was very fast. Literally got the shipping notification early the next day. Hands down best boards for your flipper. Highly reccomend them. Oh and I'd you are thinking of doing the combo of the death star blaster as well, do it, it's worth it

Perfect

It's a very useful item. Natively the Flipper doesn't have a very powerful IR.
With the "Masta-Blasta" i can power on an TV at 10 meter.

Moreover, the shipping with FedEx was very fast.

The Masta Blasta!

The built in IR with the Flipper is fine, but this board is for when you need to kick it up several notches. Really well designed and feels high quality. The range testing so far has been unbelievable! Have recommended it to other Flipper owners. The Masta Blasta!!!

Super impressed, very high quality product.

Super fast shipping! Finally got a moment to do some field testing. This masterpiece is the real deal. I chose an old Sony radio from 1994 as my target (with permission) at my job. I was hitting this thing from the other side of the warehouse easily 100+ feet line of sight. The board itself it a beautiful work of art with flawless soldering. I highly recommend this product and can't wait to do more field testing!

When the Death Star is not enough!!!

This thing is an awesome addition to my arsenal! Definitely more range and I like the “lays flat fitment” better personally (I purchased the OG blaster first before this one). The next best thing if you missed the chance to grab a Flippreme! Oh also the switch to turn off the LED is a great addition!!!
