A NFC sticker! Containing some magic bits and bytes. This sticker will be read by the Air purifier as an original filter! So when your old filter is empty.. remove the NFC sticker and stick a new one on there!

Why did you make it?

Using these air purifiers is a wasteful and expensive experience. There are no third party filters on the market that work with this new generation of air purifiers , and no options to disable the NFC check. I wanted to use these filter cloths around my filters:

These filter cloths will extend the life of the filter by 2-3 times and will be less wasteful for the environment. These cloths can be bought for 3-4 USD for 10 Pcs.

Previously I build the Xiaomi air purifier Modchip to defeat the NFC checks of the filter. These where great but had the drawback of voiding warranty to be able to use it. Furthermore they required some technical skill to install the modchip.. The new Method does not void the warranty of the Xiaomi air purifiers and work in ALL the xiaomi air purifiers.

Warning: Filters using Activated Charcoal (Antibacterial & Formaldehyde) are not cleanable. They will loose their filtering function over time.

Niche product

I ordered these RFID stickers because it’s possible to obtain unbranded HEPA filters for the Xiaomi air purifiers (which are essential to life here in Thailand when the farmers are burning stubble in the fields). Shipping took a month (as predicted by the seller, no tracking, and I’d just begun to wonder where they’d got to) but on Valentine’s Day a mysterious small black envelope arrived. So mysterious that my wife insisted on standing over me as I opened it—I think she thought I might have a mystery lover, it was that kind of envelope 😂 Anyway, I didn’t get into trouble and my cheaper HEPA filters are now no longer rejected by Mi! My thanks and gratitude to TheFlamingo, who I hope keeps printing these.

Works perfectly

The stickers arrived pretty fast, no hassle with customs as it was an in-europe shipping.
Super easy to use, just remove the old sticker, place the new one and it's good to work (just remember to press the reset filter button on the air purifier)

Working as intented :)

I glued the sticker to my old filter, and the Xiaomi Purifier detected it, showing 100%. Everything seems to be working as intended. I highly recommend it!

Received and working as intended

Xiaomi purifier back to 100% after being at 0% for 6+ months now ... Just peel off the old NFC tag (use a pen knife or sharp nails, and stick a new one in the middle). I assume each tag will give you ~1 year of extra life to your filter.
