This is a combined 5.8GHz FPV video detection device that acts as a "node" on a typical Meshtastic network.

Why did you make it?

To alert presence of FPV drones, specifically typical "freestyle" or "racing" high performance type DIY drones that usually use 5.8GHz band analog CVBS type video transmissions.

What makes it special?

The use case is tailored to easily build a network of these devices to:

Detect video signals over a large area and communicate alerts via LoRa Meshtastic for long range communication.
Built-in signal filtering with a range of FPV filter options for rejection of non-video intermittent signals (Like 5G Wi-Fi or other 5-6GHz ), while still allowing sensitivity for maximum range of detection.
Uniquely allows Singlecast, Multicast, and Broadcast command and inter-node communication via JSON messaging structure.
Allow remote configuration (read/write commands) to specific single nodes, or broadcasting commands to groups of nodes ("installations").
Allow for position estimation via RSSI signal strength comparison between 2 or more alerting nodes.
Allow direct compatibility with WarDragon drone detection kits for advanced use cases!
