This is a 3D printed replacement lid for my BrewPi-ESP US Outlet Base Cases. If you previously had a build that used one screen type and want to switch to a different one, then this lid allows you to integrate that seamlessly into your build without having to completely rebuild your case.
These lids are designed to be used with one of my “base” case designs - of which there are two.
The “All-in-One” case is designed to be used with one of my “All-in-One” PCBs, which bundle the relays and power supply onto a single board. This case design is smaller - and has a different screw layout - than my other design.
The “Discrete Component” case design has three separate components which are connected with wires: the power supply, the relay board, and the PCB that ties it all together. These PCBs were my original design.
NOTE - All of these are the “4 screw” lid type. If you need the old “tabbed” lid type (which only uses two screws to secure the lid to the base) please reach out before ordering.
I have four lid designs depending on the type of screen you intend to use.
The LoLin D32 Pro TFT is a 2.4” TFT sold by LoLin on AliExpress. It connects to a D32 Pro controller via a special cable. It is by far the easiest (least soldering) method for adding a TFT to your build.
The “Generic” 2.8” TFT is any one of a number of generic 240x320 TFTs available on AliExpress or Amazon. These can be connected to the main PCB via a ribbon cable (if using my “breakout” PCB) or via DuPont cables. Connecting one of these is more difficult, but gets you a bigger screen.
The LCD2004 is the old 20x4 character display which was long a staple of BrewPi builds. Although supported by the firmware for both ESP8266 and ESP32, the “all-in-one” PCB does not support this screen type.
The “blank” lid has no cut out for any screen.
For each lid, you will need some number of screws to attach the lid to the case base, and some number of screws/nuts to attach the display to the lid itself. These are available as an option if you do not already have them.
