LITTLE WATER IF YOU MAY

The WaterMeBird was originally created to help my partner remember to water her plants. Only thing is that it needed to not represent a smoke alarm (BEEP BEEP BEEEEEEP).

BEAUTIFUL AND SMART

Meet WaterMeBird: Using her feet she senses when the soil is dry then tweets a unique song to let you know. WaterMeBird has found her place as a Learn to solder kit. Hundreds of kids, parents and teachers have made the kit together, learning about electronics and how technology can help connect us to the environment.

CONNECTED TO LAND AND LEARNING

The Water Me Bird is modeled after the Willy Wag Tail. This bird features in Australian Aborigional stories and represents a connection to the land. The story is that if you see the Wag Tail you know that the land is doing well. Thank you to Destiny Paris at the University of Wollongong for working with me to bring this story to life and then to share it with hundreds of students as part of the university's STEM outreach program.
