What is it? The Protocol Converter is an incredibly versatile and flexible tool that is powerful and easy to use. Why did you make it? I've designed this device to help engineers and designers create prototypes and prove concepts quickly and easily. By providing this device, I want to support engineers and designers in their work by giving them access to a reliable, efficient and user-friendly tool that can help speed up the process of creating prototypes and proofs of concept. In this way, I aim to help designers in their efforts to create innovative solutions and to advance their designs.

What makes it special? UPC uses a powerful 32bit microcontroller which implements an easy to use data processing and custom interface implementation. The 4MB microcontroller flash memory can accommodate even very complex APIs. For a low power applications, the microcontroller can be configured into low power mode to optimize energy consumption. This board can also be supplied directly with 3.3V or through a powerful onboard 800mA LDO via the USB port. The power can be supplied via dedicated power input headers or USB socket for convenience. The board is easy to program using the standard Arduino IDE.
