Read More…Are you a fan of the classic 555 timer IC? Build yourself a discrete transistor version that plugs right into any circuit where you'd normally use the DIP version! This 10 mm x 10 mm PCB holds ultra-small SMD components that make up the exact same circuit you'd find inside the classic chip. This project was featured on Hackaday.com last year, and is now available in kit form.
Have you ever soldered 01005 resistors? Or a DFN1006-3 transistor package? Now's your chance to find out how small you can really go! A stereo microscope, a sharp-tipped soldering iron and precision tweezers are highly recommended. This is definitely not a beginner's kit!
Included in the kit are one printed circuit board, a set of resistors and transistors (including spares), pin headers, and assembly instructions.
