Gave up after 9 weeks

For NMEA Anemometer using Peet Bros Pro Wind Vane

Chose wrong shipping method as I didn't expect OECD countries' post office is this unreliable... Placed order again today with (hopefully) right shipping method. Product rating only reflects my wish.

Update 1: Finally received it after 11+weeks... Now I got 2 of them!

Update 2: Just tested with petebros vane and ftdi usb serial with windows 10 laptop. Everything works fine. Cost less than $150 altogether, great value. Now I'm replacing Raymarine i-40 wind and water speed monitor with this one. I didn't want to get true wind calculated with STW so I used a converter which convert SOG into STW pulse but now life is very simple, combined with open cpn.

Hi

I buy from France this cars, i got it in a few week. The link : PeetBros -> WindV3board -> Raspberry -> kplex -> OpenCPN work fine. In the days to come I will refine the settings, but now iam very happy.

Everything OK.

For NMEA Anemometer using Peet Bros Pro Wind Vane

Everything OK, good komunication. The electronic came well packed within reasoanble time (around the world from Australia to Germany) and a little holiday at the customs here.

The board itself is a very professional make. For the usage on board essential, that the current lines hav a reasonable distance, so that I don't expect problems on board my boat on the long view. Nevertheless I will give it a good layer of spray colour to give it a long lifetime in salty humid air.

Now I will buy the anemometer-Sensor and hope to get everything running. The documentation ist also OK and promissing.
