Breadboard adapter for BT audio modules BM83

Why did you make it?

I'm working on a project that includes bluetooth audio and I want to try various bluetooth audio modules. Bluetooth modules are always in the form of a board designed to be soldered on the main PCB so they are not compatible with a breadboard. This makes prototyping with them really difficult.

What makes it special?

It's open source, and same as all of my creations, source files are on my GitHub page. The link can be found below in the documentation section. Board schematics are made in KiCad OSS SW. The board design is tested by me. If any bugs show up, I will ship it fixed or the fix will be documented here (in case it cannot be fixed in advance).

Board capabilities:

• breadboard friendly

• 8 buttons (reset,MFB, select, VOL-/+ next/prev son, play/pause)

• 2 LEDs

• 2x Mic input (3.5mm jack) with support circuits

• AUX input (3.5mm jack) with support circuits

• micro USB port for power and DFU upload of firmware

• all pins of module are routed to 2.54mm(0.1") headers

• solder jumpers for using single-ended microphones

• option for ele. capacitors to be used on output line(not required if headphones are used)

• passives (caps, resistors, 2xLED)

option for soldered components (not BM20) is + 5$

spin-off as part of the project:

• I designed support files for KiCad (library symbol, module footprint) for BM20,23,62, 64 and BM83 modules

None of the option includes the actual bluetooth module.
