What is it?

A circular PCB (LED Matrix) inspired by the chronometers from Battlestar Galactica.

Why did you make it?

The chronometers from Battlestar Galactica were such an important part of the first season, repeatedly counting down from 33 minutes. I really wanted one for myself so I designed this PCB!

What makes it special?

This PCB features 3 rings for LEDs, the outer two rings accommodate 60 LEDs while the inner ring accommodates 12 LEDs. Perfect for displaying the time, countdowns or just fun circular LED effects.

What's left to say?

Size is approximately 10cm x 10cm (4inch x 4inch).

The outer two rings of LEDs are arranged as common-cathode 8x8 matrices that may be joined together to make a single 8x16 matrix depending on your driver board. The inner ring is a single row of 12 LEDs.

Note: This is a PCB only, you will need to add up to 132 LEDs (size 1206) of your choosing and an LED driver board, e.g. HT16K33.
