The Signal Conditioner Shield is an adapter that converts normal micro-controller 0-5v analog signals to -11v, 0, +11v analog signals that needed from industrial Servo Motor drives for speed control or positioning. This can be used in conjunction with the AMC1280USB Deluxe Kit to be able to drive these powerful industrial servomotors (or Linear servomotor actuators) for creating high fidelity 6DOF motion platforms. The AMC1280USB Deluxe kit can be found here: https://www.tindie.com/products/Tronicgr/amc1280usb-motion-simulator-controller-deluxe-kit/
The is nothing like it in the market that is remotely inexpensive. The closest one I found had price tag $200 for 2 channels only. Its the easiest way to interface a microcontroller to these industrial Servo motor systems in analog mode, without having to resort to using Pulse/dir or modbus connections that are too complicated for such use.
It converts 6 analog channels, and offers optional potentiometer that can alter the offset higher or lower than 0v. It does not need additional power supply, for the negative voltages, the onboard PSU generates -15v and +15v needed for the circuit.
Its offered as partial kit, where you only need to solder the PSU and some connectors. For the 0-5v signals you will need a 2.5mm pitch header connector, while for the outputs there are available 3.5mm pitch (for Screw Terminals) and 2.5mm pitch connectors to choose from. The 2.5mm pitch connectors can be press fit as the mounting holes are offset and contact without soldering (soldering is strongly recommended though).
Interfacing it is very simple. Its primarily designed to sit on top of the 6DOF ext board of the AMC1280USB deluxe kit as a shield. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pkqnJOc0cvg
But you can always just provide 5v power to the two pins marked as "- +" and input the analog signals in the 6 pins that are located between the 9311 and 1k8 resistors (R1-R12). Then simply read the converted signal on the "+-11v Analog output" pins (A1-A6).
