The Hex-Synth is a 2 voice synthesizer where each voice can be individually controlled, one via photo-resistor sensor and the other via control knob. The 2 voices can be played simultaneously or individually. Additional sensors can be plugged into the jacks on the front of the synth. Plugged in sensors can be photo-resistors, touch sensors, pressure sensors or additional knobs (potentiometers).

I made this for people who wish to create interesting sounds in an unorthodox way. Sound artists and musicians looking for something unique and fun.

The Hex-Synth uses a built-in photo-resistor sensor that modulates sound using light and shadow by moving your hand above the sensor in the presence of a light source. In addition, it also has a second oscillator that is controlled with a knob (potentiometer). Both voices can be used at the same time, combined to create "additive synthesis", or they can be used separately as a mono-voice synth. *You can plug various other sensor into the jacks on the front of the synth for more sound versatility and functionality.

Uses a standard 1/4" audio output jack and can operate on a 9V battery or a standard 9-12V power adapter with a 2.1mm positive center plug.
