This is the unobtainium female connector for 2019's new SAO standard. While standard 2x3 connectors will do fine for testing, if you're planning on making a badge you should put these on your badge. This connector has substantially better mechanical properties than a regular 2x3 and will help keep the SAOs on the badges.
If you are making SAOs then it can't hurt to include these for your customers in case the badges they buy don't come with them.
If you're buying SAOs and Badges but not making them, you shouldn't really need these.
