What is it?

The Tymkrs Bulkhead is a pre-assembled 2hp Eurorack module that improves cable management allowing you to route signals from the front of your synthesizer to the inside of your case, and back again! This works with both TS and TRS jacks.

Why did you make it?

I wanted my synthesizer to look nice and neat, but the midi source and audio output were on the front of the eurorack case and needed to go to behind the synthesizer to the rest of my studio. I got tired of running cables from the front of the synthesizer to the back - around the side. So here we are - cable management!

If you have two or more modules, this could also create a wormhole within your synthesizer and help clean up your live case. By patching the back of one bulkhead to another bulkhead, you could create a hidden patch between two parts of your case.

Perfect

I was all set to try to make something myself to help route some patchpoints out the back of my rack to a few different outboard gadgets, and decided to search for anything that might already exist. These bulkheads are exactly what I was wanting! Solid, great looking, elegant modules (only 2HP!) that are more than worth the price. Absolutely perfect. Arrived quickly, well packaged in a nice Tymkrs box - I'll absolutely be getting a few more. Highly recommended!

Exactly what I was looking for

This gives me a way of running cables inside of the eurorack chassis to get connections closer to where they need to plug in.

Instead of having giant long cables from my keystep pro all over the front of my eurorack -- they're routed inside my case, and split off to two bulkhead modules. Makes things WAY neater. Pretty dope.

Shipped quickly, packaged very well. I would absolutely buy from Tymkrs again.

Great little pass through unit!

Perfect unit that passes through everything - midi, stereo, mono with minimal fuss. Very happy with this inexpensive functional unit - I bought 3 for my rack!

It's amazing, the best bussing option period.

His is best option to bus signals in a larger system. ALL the other options use integrated wires by ethernet or hdmi etc. What this does is cause crosstalk between the signals. It can be negligable... or it cannot. Because of the direct design here, this module has no crosstalk intrinsically with the design. And you choose the quality of the cable to do the bussing so you can make it as bulletproof as you want. I'm sure I'll buy two more eventually.

Looks good. Works Perfectly

This was my first DIY module. Managed to figure it out and it worked first try. I have to admit that I did get a bit confused making it though as there were no instructions, which would have been nice to have. But I did figure it out so it can't have been that difficult.
