Beats with the utmost care

The Tymkrs Heart Me v3 is at a very specific intersection of interests. I personally think it takes a particular sort of nerd that is going to be able to enjoy the anatomical and cardiovascular accuracies, while also appreciating the beauty that is a small, portable PCB.

If you find yourself standing at that corner, then this is for you.

I personally was drawn to it because of a fantastic twitter interaction, and couldn't help myself after seeing not only how artistic it was, but how it strives to show off a bit of medical knowledge. (Not that I have any medical knowledge myself; I just love the implementation.)

The craftsmanship and delivery was excellent as well.

My only complaint (if you can call it that) is the need for a pair of CR2032s, with the "switching off" method being taking the batteries out. A small annoyance, but not enough to detract from the overall presentation.

Awesome toy to have showing off.

The Heart shows many rhythms that the heart goes through it is mesmerizing to look at and lasts a long time with the batteries it takes.

Great product from a great maker

I love the Heart Me! It's highly functional, works exactly as described. It looks great on clothes or a backpack. Not too bright, which is good considering the number of LEDs on the board. It doesn't have an on/off switch per se, so I use a small bit of plastic or paper between the battery and the holder when not in use.

Seller was very fast to send the item and provided a tracking number. I couldn't be happier. :)

For hobbies I made a 12-lead electrocardiograph, now I want to try to connect it to this trinket to synchronize the analysis of the path with the Heart Me like a funny display ..

It may be that I will need to ask you some more details or source codes: P

A fun project

I'm a medical educator. I'm using it to give people a sense of the chaos associated with fib patterns as well as the beautiful synchronization of normal function.

On next revision it needs an on/off switch. The current button is so easily pushed that it is always getting activated inadvertently. I've kludged one with a small tab of plastic that I push between the battery and its contact when I want it to stay off.

Thanks for the feedback. Yeah I've gotten in the habit of just taking out the battery, but a proper on off switch would probably be a good idea. Hopefully it's helped your patients understand what's going on a bit more!
