Build Notes

With Port In on the top, from left to right, it's Power --> GND --> Clock --> Latch --> Serial Data
Port Out allows you to daisy chain these to control other boards - and again left to right it's Power --> GND --> Clock --> Latch --> Data
The 0-7 headers are where you solder what you want to drive
The LEDs serve as debug LEDs, or they can be what you control with your microcontroller.
The +/- serve as another location you can feed power and ground to. Just keep in mind that + has to be the same voltage as whatever you're putting into Power on the Port In header.
We have tested this successfully with 3.3v.

A pretty useful bench tool!

I bought this board as a status indicator for a project I'm building. It seems I'll have to order more when they have them re-stocked. These things are very useful for all sorts of things. You can use them to drive other things, throw a 90 deg SIP on them and pop them into a breadboard. A great 8-bit status tool! I recommend this board if you into programming micros.
