What is it?

This is a 48K RAM pack for a Jupiter Ace computer to expand it to the maximum 1K + 48K RAM.

Why did you make it?

I was repairing a Jupiter Ace computer and wanted to test it with some of the games that require more than the standard 1K RAM.

What makes it special?

This is made using modern fast lower power RAM chips, no 4116 DRAM chips with dubious power supplies.

I have added a power LED and a reset button, both of which were missing from the Jupiter Ace itself.

Options

This has been designed to fit into a case from The Future Was 8 bit, as used on their divMMC and SD2PET (which I designed).

I can optionally include one of those cases, with the top hat button and a special 4mm flat topped LED to fit the case.

The standard version is uncased and uses a standard 5mm LED.

Available as a kit or assembled.

Notes

There is no space in the cased version for IC sockets, so none are included. If building the uncased version (or just using the case base) you can fit sockets if you prefer. Turned pin recommended.

I do not have access to a Jupiter Ace at the moment. This has been tested by several Ace users and they have reported success.
