What is it?

Fiddy is a tool that should be in every electronic hackers toolbox. It's a breakout board with a Genuine FTDI FT2232H chip. Fiddy is most powerful when used with open source software such as flashrom (SPI), openocd(JTAG), and sigrok (SUMP Logic Analyzer). It's pretty much a swiss army knife for hardware developers and reverse engineers.

Why we built it?

We designed the Fiddy (it's the way we like to pronounce FTDI) because we got tired of getting clone chips and unnecessarily large breakout boards that were difficult to connect. This does exactly what it is supposed to with a Genuine FTDI FT2232H high-speed IC. All of the I/O is clearly labelled for SPI, JTAG, and UART use. An EEPROM is on-board that can be used for setting the FT2232H into more unusual modes.
