What is it?

This is a laser-cut acrylic enclosure kit for Dr. Wattson Energy Monitoring Breakout board. This helps to isolate the high voltage components that are hooked up to Dr. Wattson, so only safe digital signals and wires are accessible outside for hookup to your micro-controller.

The kit consists of:

• Laser cut acrylic enclosure
• Standoffs and machine screws to secure Dr. Wattson to the enclosure, and the top plate to the rest of the enclosure
• snap-in IEC panel mount receptacle for AC input (snaps into laser-cut acrylic enclosure top plate)
• snap-in AC receptacle for AC output (snaps into laser-cut acrylic enclosure top plate)
• spade connectors to easily connect AC input and output to/from above connectors

It lets you have a neat enclosure for your Dr. Wattson!

Why did you make it?

I needed a way to put Dr. Wattson and the associated high voltage lines into a safe enclosure. After 2 or 3 iterations, I settled upon this laser-cut acrylic enclosure kit that will make it easy for you to set things up for energy measurement.

• Suitable high AC wires to connect IEC and AC receptacles and to Dr. Wattson
• female jumper cables to connect Dr. Wattson to your micro-controller
