Note: V1.0 has been de-rated to 50v for live connections despite having a true max of 60v. Make sure to connect at or below 50v or use a low value resistor to pre-charge the circuit. A 14s Li-Ion/16s LiFePo4 battery will get as low as 40v when empty, but charges in excess of 58v. Connecting above 50v will cause a fatal in-rush spike that will kill your FLIP_C3 - we hope to improve this in future revisions.

About

The first mainboard for the FLIP platform is an ESP32-C3 board that can be deployed on any battery system up to 16s LifePO4. It is designed for use with ESPHome, but can be flashed with other popular firmwares such as TASMOTA and WLED. We are working on a whole line of smart products with this at their core.

The on-board LMR16020 buck converter can provide up to 10w of power for accessories via the 5v rail. It can be supplied via the push-in spring-release connector with 50+ Volts DC meaning easy deploy on 12-48v battery systems including 16s LiFePo4 lithium installs.

Notes

Using more than 5w will produce quite a bit of heat which has been tested to work in open-air but please keep cooling in mind if you experience adverse operation in enclosed spaces
