The USB Gecko is a Wii/Gamecube development and hacking tool by Ian Callaghan which connects to the USB port of the computer, and to the GameCube memory slot of the Wii. It can be used to upload homebrew, to use your computer as a remote terminal under Wii Linux and as a remote debugging tool.

This is not an official USB Gecko. The device I'm selling is a reproduction called Shuriken USB and was made by S. Taffs. There are no differences in terms of features and software compatibility.

Since you can't buy USB Gecko any more and it doesn't show up on eBay that often, I decided to keep on making them to encourage more developers to try game hacking and writing software for Wii/GC.

I'm trying to keep the price as low as possible but it became very difficult due to crazy prices I have to pay for the components. All devices are hand made and use 3D printed cases. It's not factory made and has DIY feel to it.

Works just as well as the original USBGecko!

I sold my original USBGecko years ago, and wanted to start doing some work with the wii and gamecube. I knew webhdx would occasionally make and post some here, so I happened to have a look and snagged one! I'm glad to say it works exactly the same as the original one! It was pretty painless getting the drivers setup, and not 24 hours later I was poking around with gamecube memory from my web browser :)
